Bloggers Note:

Blogger's Note:
I began my walking diary on 10/14/2016. However, it wasn't until November, that I set up this blogging site. That explains discrepancies in dates/times mentioned in early entries, and the shown date of posting. Silencing Screaming Shins

This is Day 5 of the half-mile walk. I have to admit, my legs are screaming and asking just what they hell I'm expecting from them and the rest of my body!

My ortho doc told me I have to wear tennis/running shoes every day so as to "cushion" my new knees. As he explained, it took 10-years to get these knees and I'm charged with taking care of the titanium and polymer artificial knees implanted in my body. I'm doing my part with well cushioned shoes.

Tonight, it's my shins which are the loudest parts of my screaming legs. I now have ice packs resting on my shins. There has to be something to do to prevent the shin pain. After adding this entry to my blog I'll start searching the web for something to help. By the way, tonight's time was 29-minutes, 15-seconds. Good, but I need to maintain that speed for six miles. Still lots to make the time, but also plenty of time until the "Classic."

So, it’s one foot in front of the other to the finish line!
