Blogger's Note:
I began my walking diary on 10/14/2016. However, it wasn't until November, that I set up this blogging site. That explains discrepancies in dates/times mentioned in early entries, and the shown date of posting. For chronological list of posts, please click on the blog archive link in the right side column under my profile.

Charting My Course

My birthday celebration was out to dinner with my mother, followed by coffee and birthday cake with our wonderful neighbors, who are more like family than simply neighbors.

When I got home I knew what was facing me. I knew I had to keep my promise to myself and get ready for the Crescent City Classic. The first thing I had to do was figure out how far to walk, and determine where to walk.

I decided I would begin with walking one quarter mile. To set my "track" I started in my car, in front of my home, set the trip odometer at zero and drove .13 miles. I would plan on walking that distance, with the return to the driveway making one quarter mile.

Okay, tomorrow is D-Day ... the day when I begin to challenge myself.

So, it’s one foot in front of the other to the finish line!
